75% of the students were female
It came to our attention that at Goldsmith’s University, London, 75% of the students were female. Despite this there was only 1 football team for the women in comparison to the male teams who boasted 3 different sides.
Foundation 47 decided to take action
After deliberating what could be done, Foundation 47 decided to take action! We invested in coaches, minibuses and football kits in order to expand the women’s team and make it competitive. At the 2017 Goldsmith’s Sporting Awards it was a clean sweep of trophies for the female teams, picking up awards which included; team of the year, captain of the year and most successful team of the year.
